Last night, struggled to get my joystick to function in BF2, hours. I finally got to work, by removing the profile software that I never use. What it did is also remove my mouse and keyboard drivers, without me knowing. Do not know why. Last night I had a game, and was ok. So, after turning off system, then on again. My mouse and keyboard was not working, that I reinstall the software and drivers to make em function in windows. Then in BF2, the mouse wheel wasn't working at all for me to select other weapons. I felt crippled, that I having a habit on this, I was getting killed a lot. So, going into destop, the wheel works great. So, I uninstalled the mouse/keyboard software, that I am now using the Windows drivers for mouse and keyboard. Works ok now in BF2, but I will have to look into this tonight.

So, after playing with the control settings, I went into graphics. For the system I have, my graphics are on medium and AA none 1280x960 75Hz. I am confused that on my Cat control panel I have it on AA 4x, and AF 4x. Why do we have to have AA setting options in this game? I get really terrible graphics like if I am playing a game full of jagged edges. So, I increased the ingame AA option to 4x. I still get the terrible graphics.

My desktop settings at 1280x1024, and the max for ingame is 1280x960. In the manual for my display it is recommended to have the desktop display at 1280x1024 at 75Hz, for best results. Why couldn't I have this in game? Please someone help on settings.

The days of Auto Config are gone. :hmm: They helped on this.

Turn off your desktop AA and AF settings

Turn on the ingame ones to 4x

Change your shortcut so that the game runs in 1280*1024 and no *968

      Reboot?
