The more you play the game and use this gun, the better you will get with it. The M95 on the other hand is a worthless piece of sh!t, and I almost cry when someone is lucky enough to kill me with it. (very rare)

Well, on shar penninsular theres always a time where on MEC you own all flaggs except the back tv station, and theres about 50 american snipers on top of it, so you think to yourself, im gonna sniper them...

the only part visible is there heads since they crouch, ive shot a sniper in the head 2-3 times before, then i killed him and most times hed lie down and be healed and id be at square 1 again.., yes its a weak peice of crap... and because of these continuous event's when i get to staff sergeant, IM UNLOCKING THE M95 ! AGHHHHH ! :)

Sometimes I use SVD as my assault weapon, it's a very good weapon for mid and long range, and have been taking out players with m4, m16, g36, etc....it shoots fast, and when you figure out how the aim works - you will get kills in a couple of shots.....it's also very good weapon just to cause damage and get assistance pts, or to kill already damaged soldiers.....m24 is only good when you have static targets, SVD on the other hand, can be used effectively to kill moving targets.....

It's a nice gun... m24 and m95 are bolt action and you have to wait after each shot. With this you just aim and control the recoil and fast click 3 times and you have a kill.

I like the MEC sniper rifle, I don't like the standard USMC sniper rifle. I perform well enough with the MEC one so I can't complain.

I agree that gun is a piece of crap,it takes about 4 hits to kill and has messed up crosshairs. I think Im going to unlock the m95 just so I dont have to use it.

Shoot them in the head with the SVD - it will give you a 1 shot kill. On city maps you can rule with it. Assaulting enemies will often go prone when they are shot at... making them very easy targets for the SVD (very easy to get the headshot that way). You will get used to the SVD... if you played a couple of rounds with it and you transfer to the USMC you will miss it... (I do at least. The M95 was my unlock. I only use it when there is a sniper hiding somewhere at long distance (because of the better zoom).

And yes IMO it is a problem with the game engine, I tested it on a lan game with 2 machines and was using the SVD i put 6 rounds in the other logged on user (he was standing still at close range)... i could hear the rounds hitting him on his speakers and i could see them hitting him on mine... and he wasn't taking any damage. Anyway if you think you hit him you probly did and the game engine is being stupid.

You can kill alot with any of the sniper rifles they are all excellent weapons, but there is a game engine bug where damage does not register (ocasionally) and it is most noticeable with the sniper kit, Kinda hard not to notice... i mean i know you all have had that moment where your running around with an assault kit... you round a corner and theres a guy prone in front of you ... you put an entire clip into him... and he turns around and shoots you once in the head...
