Oh NO!!!!! not another unlock thread....

looking for some opinions if you don't mind. I have just got my second unlock and i am really stuck what to go for.

I unlocked the spec ops gun first time around.
I figure the assault class weapons don't gain a great deal with the g3
I play engineer when in a vehicle so not that bothered bout the upgrade.
Same goes for anti tank, i actually prefer the smg as i tend to stay at range.
Thought about the support pkm but decided it wasn't for me.
Was planning to unlock the medic gun but...
I have just started having a go at sniper ...

so basically it is between the medic and sniper unlocks.

I have tried both in sp and like them both, so what i want to know is what weapon has the biggest gain/improvement over it's unlocked counterpart. Also for those of you that have tried the guns over a long/er period would you recommend them? I dunno if i will ever get my next unlock so i kinda need to be sure.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated

speaking of unlocks.... ive been promoted to the 2nd rank 3 times now... yet in the bf2hq thingie it still shows me as not promoted and I cant unlock my gun.


anyone else have this prob?

Sniper sucks
G3 kinda sucks (AK-101 is better)
Anti-Tank kinda sucks (I used it for a week straight. If you're close enough to kill with that shotty, you can kill with anything)
M95 sucks
PKM is nice
L85A1 medic gun is accurate (mostly) but very weak. (AK-101 is better)
G36c is accurate but weak. (will be my final unlock)

The SMG's are TERRIBLE at range. The pistol or even your AT weapon are better choices.

From what you've said, I would think you'd like the G3 the best. It has no grenade launcher, and has 20 bullets instead of 30, but it's an absolute beast at range(kills people with 2 shots, 3 at most unless they have armor). Go prone, single shot, and that thing will work well for you.

The PKM is for people who like to get right in the middle of a lot of death and open fire. Its accuracy is terrible.

The M95 is a total waste. It's the same gun as the M24 with less accuracy.

I think the M95 is a step up for the MEC and PLA snipers but the M24 is still the best. And the L85A1 is the most useless piece of crap in the game, put your M16A2 on single fire and your accuracy problem is solved.

I unlocked the PKM first and G36C second and am happy with both choices.

Go for power of the PKM or do the Med unlock.
You could use the keyboard "G" key and pick up the dead mans kit, to see what they are like.

Why is there no big chested rag dolls in this game?

The G3 is a body dropper, thats all i can say.

Just dont go with m95, or the L85 both are very dissapointing. The pkm is OK, however it just sucks in90% of situations.

Id say mk or G3. I ahve used all the guns (sry for tks... :p )

That's kind of why I would never recommend unlocking the medic weapon: everyone has it! Why unlock it when you can just hit G :) Seriously, I don't remember the last time I picked up a medkit to revive someone or get health packs and NOT gotten the l85.

Let other people do all the work, and just grab their weapon :)
