    Most fun: Waiting for players!

A couple of times now I've been playing on an almost empty server, waiting for players to join before the game starts. I've got to say I've had some real fun in this sort of "game mode", where no kills or deaths are recorded, no teamkills or punishment, and people aren't caring about their stats.
It's a good opportunity to try out some really dumb/lameass tactics you wouldn't otherwise use!

One time, (Zatar Wetlands) a friend and I jumped in a boat and headed over the USMC carrier where the yankees were just standing around doing nothing, just waiting patiently and TKing each other... I was anti-tank, and my friend was support. We climbed all over the carrier, rocket-sniping people, blowing up anything that tried to take off, and swapping squad leader and respawning whenever one of us died. Basically all the dodgy tactics I'd be too ashamed to use in the real game!
The US guys soon joined in the fun, going sniper, trying to shoot us with the air defence guns or black hawk or climbing up and chasing us all over the carrier. It was "on"... great fun!

Last night, it was Strike as Karkand. Spend a good 20 mins waiting for a couple of people to join... so "Knife fights!" I kept typing. Some USMC guys still insisted on getting in the tank/apc's though... no fun. I just switched onto their team, TK'd them, then switched teams again and went back to being "super medic" with the defibrilators.
There were guys going assault (attempting the one-shot kills with grenade launcher), heavy assault, you name it. I would just charge straight towards them bunny hopping, throwing down a line of medkits along the way. They would empty their clips, start reloading and.... bzzzt - defib kill. It was hilarious seeing all this heavy weaponary being defeated by one man and his medkits! One guy did find a way to defeat this tactic though - the engineer's shotgun. He would wait until I got close enough, and kill with one shot to the head.

Like I say, all just good (dirty) fun, using those tactics I was too afraid/sensible/ashamed to use in the real game!

I would like to see some sort of "Waiting for players..." ettiquite though. Some basic guidelines to make this "game mode" even more fun. Say for example:
    - No main weapons. Knives, defibrilators, pistols and mines/claymores/C4 only.
    - Tanks and APC's should be used as transport or road kills only. No firing that cannon or machine gun!

... that's about all I can think of really. Let me know what you all think!

It seems to me that supplies fall a bit north-west (above and to the left) of where you place them. I think this could be consistent as well, ie. I don't think there is any randomness involved. Could be wrong, but that's just what I seem to see when commanding.

Oh, and one thing I forgot about the knife fights - Go on the same team, then you can see your "enemies" on the minimap etc so you can find them easily. Also, if you are a medic, or you kill a medic, revive your victim so the fun can start again without the 15 second wait!

Just a little while ago, I joined a server that had only one other person in it. I offered a knife fight, it was accepted, and it was surprising how fast the server filled up to the minimum number of players when everyone is having fun and doesn't leave the server through boredom.

... Maybe we've found a "workaround" for the hard-programmed minimum number of players in the 1.02 patch!
