    Help please.

hey guys im new to the forums and i've got a problem. I just got BF2 and installed it with no problems. I have a laptop so the graphics card i have is not listed im most system req. read me's. when i try to open up BF2 it shows the logo when its gunna open and the screen go's black and then the game closes. I have a Nvidia GeForce4 440 Go 64MB, i dought that its my card but thats the only thing that i can think of, i can run Doom3 Half-life2 with no problems. Im getting a new CP with a Geforce 7800 in a month so it wont be a problem then, i heard that ther are some mods that let u play but i dont know wer to find the, so if anyone can help me out i would be most thankfull. If u have any questions please ask.

    thx

The go440 has 64MB of ram which is not supported by this game, and neither is the chipset its based on. It doesn't support DX9 or any of the shaders, so I doubt you will get it work before you get your new system. Also when you're ready to pull the trigger, you can PM me or talk to me online (via the little icons in the upper right hand of my post) and I can walk you through it. I'm always reading up on new computer technologies and things like that, so I can definately help you.

                Re: Help please.

Looks ok, I would go with a dedicated PCI sound card though and not an onboard solution.
Not sure about the PSU either.
