its a sad fact of almost every game released in the past few years. its a very bad trend. i see more and more the media outlets talking bad about game releases with bugs but it doesn't seem to help.Comment

The guy's right. I love BF2 but am really disappointed and aggravated with all of the bugs. I also got quite a kick when EA suggested that everyone rollback to the release version after the first patch made things worse.Comment

Saddly the $$ talks and that's about it... Didn't emloyees of EA try to bring a civil lawsuit against EA for not even reimbursing their employees properly for all of the OT that they were putting into their games?
Too bad the game is so fun to play...Comment

All I gotta say is, new engines comes with new bugs, if this guy knew anything about developing games besides using the basic terms (such as htiboxes and netcoding) then he would have never posted the article.
The point is, everyone who whines and complains thinks that if they were handed the source code for BF2 and everything Dice/EA worked on, they could make BF2 bugless. Nobody truly knows the difficulty of making TODAYS games perfect for play. There is no game on todays market that does not have bugs. Yet, they continue to call EA/Dice morons for not fixing bugs that they consider could be fixed by 14 yr olds, BUT, I don't see the complainers giving out solutions to these bugs.Comment

If my car knocks and pings whenever I'm idling at a stop light, using your logic, I have no right to complain about it and take it in for repairs since I know nothing about cars and would not be able to provide the mechanic instructions on how to fix it.Originally posted by nbft...BUT, I don't see the complainers giving out solutions to these bugs.

lol...the games should be tested thoroughly before released. i'd like to see the QA requiremnts for some games:Originally posted by nbftAll I gotta say is, new engines comes with new bugs, if this guy knew anything about developing games besides using the basic terms (such as htiboxes and netcoding) then he would have never posted the article.

your right, bugless is impossible. i can forgive some of the ingame bugs that happen very infrequently... but the bugs in a menu system is simply unforgivable... i guarantee they had a guy whos sole responsibility it was to design an interface.. i've been designing interfaces for years (since the 8-bit machines) and its a VERY simple procedure to create and test them. All those bugs and missing features should have been spotted months before release and easily fixed.Originally posted by nbftAll I gotta say is, new engines comes with new bugs, if this guy knew anything about developing games besides using the basic terms (such as htiboxes and netcoding) then he would have never posted the article.

isn't that what they're paid for? It isn't our job to test a game we paid for. The game should atleast be 97% playable before hitting shelves in my opinion, and BF2 didn't even come close.Originally posted by nbftAll I gotta say is, new engines comes with new bugs, if this guy knew anything about developing games besides using the basic terms (such as htiboxes and netcoding) then he would have never posted the article.
