Bad Lag ... Standing Still :s

I have a 2mb connection through a wired network. Windows firewall off, nothing else using bandwidth to the net and i still get a ping of 150 when stood still when other people have pings of 20-40 ????

I DONT GET IT!!!

I tried clearing out the cache files in bf2 file .... still dont work!!!

It could be the routing ... but i doubt it ... this is cheesing me off :-/

Where is the server you are trying to connect to.
No matter how fast you net is, if the server is the other side of the planet you will get higher pings than those that are in the same country as it.

Thats what i thought the routing .... but im not really getting clear play on many servers .... very laggy which is a pain in the a** when your trying to shoot a guy whos running towards you and it stutters all over the shop
