I am given to understand that BF:V and 1942 were also as buggy as BF2 is today, but improved later on with patches. Is this true, and can we expect the same of BF2?

To be honest with BF1942 v1.62 (i think) i never encounterd a single bug.

I used to play that game for 3-4hours on servers. Now in battlfeild 2 i spend that much time finding one.

Come on, do you really expect us to believe you spend 3 to 4 hours to find a server to join? Are you looking for a specific server located in Antartica or something? I find a server and am in it within a minute or two of the list comming up.
