Lockup Crash

Built a new computer installed BF2 it would work for 10 min lock up...read on another forum to load latest Nforce4 chip set drivers did that .... latest video driver that supports the 7800 .... the rest of the updates for A8NSLI-premium ...still at 1.05 bios though... read you needed the certified update for the SIL raid ... did that...latest creative drivers for the audigy2 zs... that covers sound, video, motherboard, raid, and nforce4 chipset. and game patched to 1.02 or 1.2 whatever is the latest. I have been working on getting this game to play for about a week now.

Now when I load the game it locks up my computer completly ...no ctrl alt del to bring up task manager .. must use the power button...

Call of duty and my other games work fine...just BF2...I am about the slelf this game unless I can get a clue or even some remote ideas what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Its a problem not even EA or PunkBuster can fix right now. Believe me its ALL THE GAME

Then its back to Call of duty until the next patch for BF2 or some new drivers to try.

Went into profiles ... played at 800x600 for a long time ...then tried 1024x768 finally locked up.... the higher the rez the quicker the fail...

BFG 7800 and 2 gigs ram winxp pro amd fx55 san diego.. a8n sli premium mobo.

There are multiple issues with everything from Onboard LAN to chipsets, to audio. EA rushed DICE into releasing the game before DICE really wanted to, and this is what we got. A heaping pile of bugs. The new patch v1.03 due out end of this month (August) has 140+ fixes and tweaks in it. And that was as of 1 month ago.
