    BFV/1942 Issues

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please do not delete this thread, I bought a whole new video card thinking this problem would be solved, but it wasn't! I need help.

    Computer Specs:
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro (also tried with 9600 SE)
    768 MB PC2700 DDRAM
    Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz CPU

    Monitor Settings:
    1024x768
    32 Bit Color
    75 Hertz

    Battlefield Versions:
    BFV 1.21
    BF1942 Warchest 1.61

    Issues:
    - White line bordering the edges on the left and top part of the monitor
    - Scan lines across screen (on BF1942)
    - Absolutely un-readable/blocky letters
    - Click on uninstall, go through steps, once it starts it instantly goes from %0 - %100 and says game is removed. But really it is not. (BFV and BF1942)

    What I've tried:
    - Changing monitor settings
    - Buying new video card (9600 SE to 9800 Pro)
    - Re-installing games
    - Formatting computer

Please help and leave any suggestions!

try raising or lowering the hertz on your monitor. Is it LCD or CRT? LCD normally has a set HErtz you should use. Try reinstalling the driver and or setting to default. Make sure you delete the driver, reboot, then reinstall new one.

What you are decribing is the effects of anti aliasing, BF42 and BF:V really do not like AA for some reason.
Either live with it or disable it.

Go to add/remove programs in the control panel and remove it there.

Do you play BF2 and if so do you have the same problems with that?
