Ok I'm buying a new computer and I was wondering if I should get the 6800 256MB over the 6600GT 128MB. I have the extra money, but not enough for a 6800GT  So plain and simple 6600GT or the 6800 256MB?

6600GT: 8 pipe card with 128-bit memory. Is about 20-25% faster than the similarly priced 9800 Pro, but its 128-bit memory cripples it's antialiasing performance, knocking it back down near 9800 speeds when high levels of antialiasing are on. Still a great card though for the price, but nowhere near the 6800 or x800 series. The 6800 should easily be faster than a 6800gt imo.6800 Non-Ultra (NU): 12 pipe card which can often mod to a 16-pipe card, but won't be nearly as powerful as the (6800)GT as it still has only DDR1 memory. Considerably faster than the 6800LE (20-25%), but nowhere near the x800 Pro/XT or 6800 GT/Ultra.
6800 NU: 12 pipes, 256-bit DDR1 memory. 325mhz core, 700mhz memory. -

If your building a serious gamer, wait and get the 6800 GT/Ultra. If you just play now and then or don't care about a really good picture and faster frame rates, get the 6600. If you play ALOT online, bigger is always better.
SPEND THE BUCKS! YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!

I play BF2 for about an hour a day. Im not that serious but the 6800 256MB seems to be better. It will be put with my GB of ram and a P4 3.0Comment
