there was a thread somewhere around here about this, look for it dude, i remember there being a guide on how to fix this.

It can be that on some machies you have this problem due to an feature in you ati driver, but many people had this problem, me to, but since patch 1.03 only had it once, while in the unpatched game I had it like every day.

Is happened to me for the first time with this patch. I have 6600GT so its not ATI card.

Yeah also had this problem and just went away after 1.02 patch.

Windows will close any program that tries to perform an illegal operation, sometimes it will tell you why it closed it, sometimes not. Games are extremely advanced pieces of software that push computers to their limits, not all computers being equal, you are going to get a crash now and then no matter what.
