I think it was a bad idea to play commander 80% when the demo was out..

Now I'm burned out from playing commander and know what'll be like when I do become commander. I can even see myself playing commander in a match even if I'm not playing BF2 and whenever i'm about to apply, i'm always reminded what will happen:

    Give orders
    Use 4 basic abilities
Nag Squad leaders about UAV and Supplies
    Repeat

I know this doesn't actually reflect what will happen but whever thinking about these 4 things I will do will make me prevent becoming a commander because I'm too bored and tired with it.

I'm looking at the War College Ribbon as the next ribbon I'll get, but with only 1200 points as commander it's going to take me a very long time. If I hadn't played commander a lot during the demo, maybe it would've been higher than it is. Time doesn't matter, it's just the fun I may be missing out when I am commander.

So, the real question is...How do you make something enjoyable when you're currently burned out or bored with it?

do you really need that ribbon ? is there someone who is gonna make fun of you for not having that ribbon ? do you feel the pressure of not being cool because war college ribbon is not in your award's sig ? if yes, then you HAVE TO MAKE yourself enjoy being a commander..........

of course you need ribbons! their colorful collection of pixels makes me all warm and fuzzy...and some of them have stars on them, shiny stars!

No I don't really need the ribbons. I decided that after I reach the rank of Corporal, I would try to get many awards as I could without any cheats or exploits before getting bored of ranking up. Up to now, it has been very enjoyable and has increased the "fun value" of BF2. I'm not collecting these to just have ribbons and feel all warm inside (the only award ever to do that was the Expert Knife badge, it was not without fustration of course), but just to have more fun...

The title of the post made me laugh. Reminds me of when I was 14 and could fall asleep at night to the mario bros. theme song playing over and over in my head. I can almost hear it now.....
