Any Tutorials on Effective Sniper Shooting?

Actually killing a moving target is very easy. Not all moving targets are easy to kill but once you can spot the right one you can kill him/her easy.

One way to tell a easy moving target kill is to look ahead and see how much more open space he/her has to run which gives you more chance at taking them out.

One map easy at killing moving targets I would say is Gulf of Oman. Reason why I pick this map because its open and flat giving not that much cover for enemys running along the beach flags.

Kubra Dam 32 player I find is a great map for sniping. I also only use the M-24 and the M-95 becasue the other guns are crap.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess what I'm needing is something detailed. Like at 100m, aim down a little just above the collar and fire type of thing. I have been able to snipe victims at 250m but it's difficult, I don't always hit em. I'm sure though they hear the whistling of the bullet as it flys by them which in turn causes them to scurry and seek cover.

I guess when it comes down to it there's really no set technique, it's a numbers game, either your gonna hit your target or your not.

Read "The Ultimate Sniper: An Advanced Training Manual for Military and Police Snipers" by Maj. John Plaster.

It has a lot of good material on fieldcraft as well as the best marksmanship guide I've come across. Be sure to keep a ballistic table of your particular load with your rifle and copies of the formulas if you can't remember them.

Personally, I also recommend using a mil-dot scope with a mil-dot master for quick range-finding and an angle-cosine indicator to compute degrees to target so you can dope as accurate a shot as you can. Having a windgauge is useful too while you're still learning to estimate windage. Lots of dry fire practice is good to habitualize a good-cheek weld and clean trigger pull with no flinching. While many don't believe in them, I think snap-caps are important for protecting your firing pin.

Actually when I hear the whistling of a sniper trying to hit me from a distance I just ignore it cause most times he never hits. If you can't hit by your second shot don't waste your time or your bullets.

Haven't seen the videos, there are so many high-fluff, low-content 'how to' shooting videos I generally avoid them. The book is excellent though. A serious manual from a knowledgable shooter.

Nice name, by the way. I once attended a lecture by former FBI Profiler Robert Ressler where he talked about Dahmer. As he lectured he had a slideshow going. The picture of him having a McDonald's lunch with Dahmer was priceless :laugh:
