          Sniping is mostly just point-and-click.

            what he said.

There are no secrets to kicking ass.

Take your time and don't shoot if there is a change of missing.

You need some luck and good aiming...Aim for the head, klik and he/she is dead. And keep moving around, don't "camp" on 1 spot!

Set Claymores in places enemies usually run in big groups, and if an enemy is close, and does not notice you, use your sileneced pistol to kill him because he will not find out where you are till it is too late.

That is what I can add to everyone elses tips.

don't bother shooting moving targets unless you're really good.

wait a second after targeting your enemy before shooting. if you don't, you won't hit it. you have to wait for the gun to stabilize or something before you shoot. it makes it more realistic i guess but even if you move a tiny bit you still have to wait.

i'm about ready to stop placing claymores. 90% of the time i do i get a tk punish from a stupid teammate. stupid people are attracted to claymores and mines like moths to light.

headshot are 1 hit kills. m24 and the m95 are 2 shot kills anywhere else. the mec and chinese snipers are 2+ shots to kill. most of the time it takes 3 shots to kill someone from my experience.

people say move a lot but i rarely get found in my spots. maybe they are just really good spots. i also find when i move, i die because i get caught by an enemy in a vehicle or something. plus there aren't really that many great spots to move to. best thing to do is get under a bush or in heavy foliage.

You can move around, but don't use the road...Use bushes or other things that give you shelter...There are a few good spots at each mape, useualy hard to find. Just keep youre eye out and you will find youre favo spot

Read "The Ultimate Sniper: An Advanced Training Manual for Military and Police Snipers" by Maj. John Plaster.

It has a lot of good material on fieldcraft as well as the best marksmanship guide I've come across. Be sure to keep a ballistic table of your particular load with your rifle and copies of the formulas if you can't remember them.

Personally, I also recommend using a mil-dot scope with a mil-dot master for quick range-finding and an angle-cosine indicator to compute degrees to target so you can dope as accurate a shot as you can. Having a windgauge is useful too while you're still learning to estimate windage. Lots of dry fire practice is good to habitualize a good-cheek weld and clean trigger pull with no flinching. While many don't believe in them, I think snap-caps are important for protecting your firing pin.

Oh... wait... sniping in game? : P
