I don't bother with aircraft. There's much more action with Armor/Infantry.

Truthfully there isn't much that you can do about the situation. Several facts exist:

1. Rank (unlockable weapons) are dependant upon points
2. Awards are based upon kills/points, along with other factors.
3. Aircraft (fixed wing and rotor), have a high K/D ratio, and score potential. Perhaps higher than anything else in the game.

As long as these facts exist, people will go to absurd lengths to get them. Why not TK someone? You'll easily gain enough points to make up for the negative penalty. And the points you gain will get you closer to whatever your goal is.

The way I think is most fair, that I've seen work best, is that planes are 'claimed'. If you're at the air field and all the planes are already out and flying, don't stand there waiting, the planes are taken. Go do some nice tank whoring.

However, if there is a plane there, then there is no reason you should take it, short of it being because the plane was just shot down and the pilot hasn't gotten back into it yet.

Also, a simple rule like 'no more than 1 person waiting for a plane' goes a long way.

Personally, if theres no planes to fly on my side, than I'm more than happy to take a spec ops into the enemy base and make sure they have nothing to fly with either. I WILL let them get maybe 20 feet into the air first just to be polite :)

No really, I'm more than happy to co pilot too. Either that, or I'll suck it up and run with a tank.

If I'm with a friend in TeamSpeak then I'll wait for a helicopter, if that's what we want to do. Hell, sometimes I'll even sacrifice and teamkill a few morons so both of us can use the vehicle. There always seems to be at least 2 or 3 *******s always camping near the planes and helicopters doing nothing for the team. I, for one, have no problem taking these people out on my own.

This reminds me. Sniping near the enemies' main base (the ones you can't capture) will get you a lot of easy kills. I was in a wooded area on Dragon Valley in the Chinese main base picking off anyone who would get into a chopper. I had a perfect angle so I could see the back of the heads of the pilots in the helicopters.

So you spawn camp and you kill people who have been waiting for a long time to fly a heli so you can fly it. You must be really popular. :cussing: :cussing: :hi:

If I see a BH I may whore it for awhile but I usually dont go out of my way (sitting on the pad waiting) to fly unless we have incompetent pilots on the team and were getting pounded from the air. If they have someone decent doing bomb runs and nobody's doing anything to stop him, I'll go up there an regulate.

well since DC i have always been shot at for getting to an aicraft before someone else. yeah its great to fly but if you want i tbad enought to shoot at me then you can friggin have it
