i much prefer the MEC assault rifle as the i dont like the 3 shot burst of the US. the second in between the burst is plenty of time to get shot when having gun battle...

Odd thing is I used to dislike the M16 but now prefer it to the other assault rifles. I find the increased accuracy coupled with the 3 round burst really effective.

Even up close where the 3 round burst really used to catch me out vs. someone with a full auto capable gun I have found that the burst forces you to try and aim better rather than spray and prey.

thats what im talking about... in close combat you need continuos fire spray... hence why the assualt weapon on the MEC is more reliable than the US version.

The M16 single shot is good but so is the carbine... if the us assault had continuos fire it would be my favourite weapon... but carbine is at the mo.

If I am on the US side, I will play a medic and normally choose the M16 over my L85. The accuracy is too hard to pass up and it equals better aim to the upper body and more kills for you.

I rarely bother with 3 shot mode. It wasted bullets and blows up the yellow reticle.

Actually, if you just hold down the trigger on the assault rifles it'll spray everywhere. Unless you're looking for a shock factor, I'd rather have a 3 round burst. Not to mention you can very easily empty a clip if you click fast even with 3 round bursts.

I know, I was referring to the MEC and Chinese assault rifles compared to the M16. Sorrry, I should've made that clearer.

you'll get used to the 3 round burst, which you can empty pretty damn fast...

close combat? wth lol, thats what the nade launcher is for lol...

I find that I end up putting most weapons (especially the SO M4) in single fire mode... very accurate at distances...

For increased accuracy and damage , try the assault unlock , the HK G3

g3 + nade launcher = uberweapon. good thing its not in the game. i think its too powerfull.
