friendly fire = off ??

Wife bought me a joy stick for bf2. So I made a server so that I can test it out. "create local server" and it had the option of turning friendly fire off.

Do public ranked servers have this option and wouldn't this stop all that punishment crap?

I may be mistaken, but I believe EA requires all ranked servers to have FF on.

Yeah, EA locked FF for ranked servers. It's only fair IMO.

FF off would be pretty bad on BF2. Just imagine how artilery would work with FF off. You could actually run in and cap flags while your commander has an artilery bombardment coming down right on top of your head. Enemies would be dieing around you from the strike while you just walk straight through it.

FF off in previous BF games also introduced lots of exploits like grenade jumping and grenade spamming plus lots of other crap.

there are no ranked servers with FF off, would be to easy, when your team trys to capture a flag and there's some enemy's there just drop artilery on it and your team still stands, also for mines,they will be abused

I was on a ranked server and some ****er was on the top of the building on the most Southern flag on Karkand, I suspect he got up there by someone c4'ing him there? But how would that be possible?

OMG!!! DUDE!!! Good thing that you found this out... the THOUSANDS OF SERVER ADMINS must've overlooked this simple check-box option setting.. wow.. you're a real hero for alerting all to this fact. Thanks :laugh: :evil:

YES there's is a ranked ff off servre but im not giveing out the IP cuz it's sooo easy to earn points on it. and i dont like it when everybody can earn point so easy :drevil:

actually, Ive been to a ranked server with FF off. Arty still kills people on ur team.
