Shift + Crouch= Not Gunna Happen...

ok i made a new profile today, and when i went to set up my controls, i wanted shift to be my crouch.... so i went to do it, then it told me that i had a duplicate key in my vehicle(i dont see why it matters...) so i cleared that... then it told me that i have a duplicate in airoplanes(i dont see why it matters...) so i deleted that too.... then it tells me i have a duplicate in heli controls(really doesnt matter does it?) so i go there and the key isnt even listed... so i just delete them all and it still says that i have a duplicate key....

i have vid if you really want to see my problem.... anyone else have this problem?

I ran into this too with other keys- eventually I gave up and used other keys... I didn't get to the bottom of it, but you;re not alone. May be a bug.

In BF1942 my setup was great but with each new game its made it more annoying to customise to my certain controls, i'm sick of seeing that duplicate key notice. I play at a Internet Cafe so everytime i go i gotta configure i wish BF2 could allow you to save your controls to your acount.

I haven't tested this, so do this at your own risk, but I suppose you could always open up your Controls.con file (located in your My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0002 directory--change 0002 to whatever if necessary) in your favorite text editor and just delete all the lines containing the word "IDKey_LeftShift".

If after THAT it still tells you you have a duplicate, then it's definitely a bug.

i have similar problems, but with my mouse (logitech mx1000) it has 8 buttons, and altho i can bind them all, they dont want to work ingame, the setpoint application is running, altho it may not be fully compatible...
