shader optomizing

im having somewhat of a problem... i just loaded the nwe patch, and everytime i go to load a game, it goes to optomize the shaders, and it sticks....it never gets done optomizing....whats the deal, andyone experiencing this problem, or am i the only unlucky fool.....maybe i installed the patch wrong....but how can you mess up an exe patch...?

try clearing the cache folder in My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache
and try loading again :)

Tried reinstalling the game?
Completly uninstall it, delete the BF2 user folder left and install again. See if it works if ^^^ doesnt.

hummmm, never saw this before, but i got an error that says,

BF2 Memory Error

"memory.dll:sanity check: block size-2072094720 (2119.90 MB) doesn's seem sane"

what the hell is that????!!!!! im pretty mad right now, cus im addicted to BF2 and i need my fix!!!! now i need my fix literally....lol

Umm, are you sure its stuck permanently? How long did you wait? Optimizing shaders can take a few minutes.

yeah thats true, one time i thought mine got stuck but i just left it. It stuck on something like 48% for ages.

well then why did i get that error....i dont think it will go any further.... not with an error like that....so what do you all think???

Have you tried reinstalling the game.

i just got through doing that....so here goes the test run, to see if it works...i wonder if the patch i still installed...hummmmmmm and i will also try to update punk buster and see what that does...

If you have uninstalled and reinstalled properly then you will need to reapply the patch and any punkbuster updates.

ok i re-installed...game works now...but i still cant get into ranked servers, i think this is a patch issue...but i dont really want the patch now, if its not going to work...screw it, maybe ill grab a nut and go for it tomorrow or sumthin....cus right now i need my BF fix....thanks guys! youve been a great help
