Ahh, I bet if you removed that additional PCI video card and it's associated apps, your problem would disappear. Just a hunch but a good hunch. :nod:

yeah i unfortunatly think you are right ...i say unfortunatly cuz i often use autodesk inventor and the dual screen setup is a must for ease of work

You know, if you have a keyboard with additional software/drivers for "enhanced" features, you might try disabling them. I have been reading reports of people getting minimized after installing such devices and their drivers.

A quick and dirty way to test/disable the effect of a keyboards "enhanced" functions is to disable the HID Service in your Windows Services Configuration under Admin Tools.

ok just a quick follow up i have removed my second card and i still have the constant minimizing
so does anybody else have an idea

I too, had my system running just fine til one day..........boom, minimize in the middle of play.

Ive spyware swept, virus scanned and optimized with no real luck yet, I cant seem to find the trigger to this problem.

I know its not a key Im hitting because I can leave the game unattended for 20 min and the problem will happen with no one touching anything.

Anyone had any luck, or having problems with the game just minimizing in windows.

Im starting to test my system with everying turned off, such as my HP monitor for my printer etc........

Finally figured out what was causing the minimizing. It was my HP all in one printer software. Apparently just a short time ago HP had an update that causes this. One I made two registry changes, life is good again, no pesky minimizing due to hp software running in the background.

Here are the two changes I made (after finally finding this solution on a hp forum somewhere)

I ran regedit and deleted the following two HP entries in the following regestry folder

HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run

Deleted the HP Component Manager (Hpcmpmgr.exe)
Deleted the HP Software Updater (HpWuSchd2.exe)

This dose not affect any functionality just the "hidden stuff" in the background and you will have to run the software autoupdater when you want vs it prompting you I imagine.

I currently run a HP 2510 Wireless all in one psc my brother has a 2410 that was affected in the same way on the last HP update. This fixed his system from randomly minimizing programs as well. Hope this helps.

I just stopped the hpcmpmgr from loading using the system configuration utility. This seemed to stop the minimizing.

Holy crap - I've been going nuts with this minimizing usually about halfway through a round. It only seemed to happen when I was in commander mode and always at a crucial point at the round! Or so it seems.

But I also have an HP All-In-One, so I will be checking this out for sure tonight when I get home. Thanks for the tip, I'm sure this is the solution for me also, but I will confirm later.

Oh and by the way, minimize is spelled with a z, I had a hard time finding this thread when searching!

That fixed it. Played about three rounds last night, once in commander and I didn't have one Minimize! Woohoo!

But now I get two beeps when I load and unload the game. It's always something!
