    ...? Still not working.

    I don't belive this.

My server was successfully created and was shown in the server list, I joined it, I updated punkbuster, I used the pb_sv_restart and everything went well, the problem was that no one could join it because of network connections.
The BF2RA even worked...and the console "rcon" commands.

So I downloaded the 1.02 server files (didn't realise they were out) and I install them, I read the Readme file and open LOADS of ports, did all that, went back into the server launcher and started my server, and when me and my friend join it (friend as in somewhere else in the world) we are in there but get kicked for punbuster running on version c1.110, so I stopped the server and updated punkbuster twice in a row, and not only do I STILL get c1.110 error but BF2RA won't connect either...

Did the patch make it worse? In a way it made it better coz people can join, but now I have no control over the server and also it kicks coz of PB being out of date...

    What to do??? Guys?

Make sure your IP is configured in the serversettings.con file.

You could post a copy of your .cons here and we can help you tweak them and/or make sure they are correct.

Also eliminate your passwords form them please, we do not need that info.

But this doesn't make sense. If I edit these files then what's the point in the BF2Server Launcher?, The BF2ServerLauncher allows you to set it up alot easier without editing notepad files, and it lets you have server profiles and it can start/stop a server.

Since I've downloaded the latest server files (from the EA site) does the whole thing work differently now?

You need to populate sv.interfaceIP "" with the ip of the server.

          sv.internet 0 <---means NO internet

          sv.internet 1 <---means YES internet

sv.serverIP "" <---- this needs the EXTERNAL IP of the Nic card or the router your NAT'n thru.

sv.interfaceIP "" <---this needs the External IP also.

          that should do it.

Make those changes and start that sucker up.

BF2server launcher is for posers. Period. If you want the easy way, go run a UT2k4 server.

Learn what your doing before you do it. Use the basic set-up tools untill you understand what each option means and what it will affect.
