Im sorry if this has been asked before but can mines/c4 be difusable at all? i have tried throwing grenades at them to see if they would blow but nothing- so are we supposed to just jump on them and run back or is there a way to get rid of em? help appreciated :)

You can EITHER drop a C4 charge on a mine and blow it up OR the easiest way is to disarm them with the engineer (use spanner on them like you do to repair things)
You can also disarm claymores with the spanner if you are carefull and approch PRONE from the rear only (you will get this worng first few times untill you learn the trick of approacing it) but you can NOT disarm C4 charges (yes i tried on an enemy one because i am a suicidel fool :laugh: ) although i suspect not many people would try even if you could, as it involves the Spec-Ops guy not noticing you doing it
All this works on friendly or enemy items. -

who cares, it stops them blowing yo or your teamates faces off, that should be incentive enough
Actually thinking about it, i hope you dont get any points for the task, or else people would run about disarming teamates own mines to get a a good score :laugh:Comment

The only claymores you will never defuse, are the ones at the tops of ladders, but theres more chance that will kill one of the enamy snipers teammates anyway, so no big deal

Some strange person decided it was a good idea to put a claymore at the top of the ladder as i was climbing over the top of it. ah well me and my brother blew to hell but he was instantly kicked so fair do's. Less people in competition with for sniping so i wasnt bothered :laugh:Comment

I have seen it posted a few places that an engineer can defuse c4 with his wrench. I play the eng kit the most and i have never been able to disable a friendly or enemy c4. I have tried it from the prone as well, and no go. It might be just a joke that people play on newbies, like F10 in counterstrike.Comment

Yes its a wind-up i'm afraid, probably from Spec-Ops players wanting an easy kill :dead:
100% no doubt about it, you cannot disarm C4, although the shotgun is pretty devastating when used against someone hiding in a bush with thier finger on the C4 trigger, so at least there is balance :laugh:
As for the Claymores, you have to approach them prone (and obviously from the rear ) because when you are in range of it dtanding up, when you look down to place your target on it i will blow up, im just guessing without a 3rd person view for infantry but its probably because you lean forwards over the top of it as you look down (hard to explain, but look down at the floor now in real life and see what i mean)
