Definition of whoring and stat-padding please

a whore is definated as someone who has killed you.
a noob is someone who you have killed.
a stat padder is someone who has no real skills and must result to revive/kill tactics or something similar to keep up with everyone else in the game.

Stat padding is defined as "doing things in game that are not in the flow of the game and are not intended to win but to raise a statistic to the exclusion of all else."

There is a lot of rage and irritation about these two phenominas and I really dont get it.

If I choose to get some ribbon or award for example by being a medic am I whoring first-aid kits and those electric things and also getting stat-points unjustly or am I just playing the game as it was supposed to played? I'm not talking about reviving players knowing that they will most probably die and then reviving them again only for the points.

What I like about BF2 is that it gives you a feeling of being right in the middle of Saving Private Ryan or Brothers In Arms (even if it's set in modern-day), playing out scenes of heroism is great fun - not being told I'm a whore or a rapist or a &%¤#-ing stats padder (or pader? who cares?). I don't do it on a daily basis and most certainly not to boost up my score to rediculous levels but just for fun. And those badges and ribbons were put into the game to get.

And another thing: every class seems to be every other classes worst enemy apparently. Crappy snipers, idiot AT's, arrogant SC's etc. Isn't this a group/team game? Not everyone can be the center-forward (in soccer terms). I don't hate my goalie or my left-wing. When I join a squad I make sure whatever class I choose fits well with the rest of the squad. I'ts great when you a squad on public servers that works well. It's rare but it happens.

what you mentioned about medic is how the game should be played.
padders usually go to an empty area of the map, usually far out of sight and away from any battles. they kill and revive each other continuously to rack up their points. another padding tactic is to have a support guy and another guy with grenades. the guy with grenades just throws them and the support guy just keeps resupplying.

the most popular whoring is the blackhawk whoring - also stat padding. you get a bunch of guys in a transport helo and fly around to every cp and cap the flag. since you are in a helo, you can get to places fast and have little to worry about as far as getting shot down. with 6 guys in a helo, the flag cap takes about 2 seconds. then off to the next cp. all the while shooting everything with the chaingun that kills in 1 hit and goes through whole buildings. whoring is just using one type of vehicle or weapon constantly to get massive amounts of points.

yeah when u see someone with a 75+kill streak and a death streak of 5-10 yeah thats a good way to spot them. not likely u r going to go around and kill 75+ ppl and only die 5 times

I get accused of whoring in a Blackhawk on Mashtuur all the time. Yes, if done correctly the entire chopper crew earns a lot of points. But this also reduces the tickets of the opposition and wins the game for the BlackHawk's team.

I think this will be changed in the next patch.

ya ive sucessfully bhawk whored a couple times on mashtuur usually around 130 points and 0 deaths if done right. the US always looses if the bhawk isnt used effectively in my opinion. i fear t-90's though....i fly away from them since thats how i usually die in a bhawk. that and suicide MEC choppers.

bh whoring is another way of stat padding, its both at once.
the most popular way of whoring is with the blackhawk, i used that as an example.

also, you people don't think going to every cp and capping it every 30 seconds isn't a form of stat padding? what do you think you are doing when you do that? you get 4 points for each one you cap, so when you cap one every 30 seconds and fly around and kill everything, you are raising your score by a lot. you think thats how the game was meant to be played? please, bh whoring is the same as stat padding and if you don't think so, you are just a stat padder who doesn't want to admit it.

knife/revive in the corner of the map is nothing like running around with a full bhawk crew. collaberating with the opposing team is just blatant padding. i dont think that you "let" bhawks come and take spawn points from you. thers a fine line between effective and exploiting.

no, since it takes 2 seconds to cap a flag with a full bh, there's not much you can do. just because you aren't collaboarting with the other team doesn't make it not padding. so by your logic, the guy on my team throwing grenades at nothing with a support player right next to him isn't stat padding? i mean, they aren't collaborating with the other team. its not the same as the 3 guys off in the corner but its still stat padding. if you aren't doing it for stats, then why can't you play normally? its just a less obvious way of doing it. you bh whore because you get ;lots of points quickly.

bh whoring = stat padding - what other reason is there to bh whore?

Flying aroung capping bases in the blackhawk is not stat padding, it may be whoring to a certain degree but it is well within general gameplay.

Stat Padding:
A. Meet your friend in a corner of a map, kill a third person, your friend revives, you kill again, etc.
B. You and your friend plays Support and just stand there reloading, while giving eachother ammo
