Old battlerecorder files - you cant use them any more

A quick shout out to all the peeps who use the battlerecorder regularly, You cant use demos recorded in a previous version of BF2.

I have some saved demos from version 1.0, since patching to 1.2 I cant get them to load and they appear red in the communities tab. So capture your 1.2 stuff before 1.3 comes out

Yeah me too, especially of some rounds when I was playing REALLY well, which is rare hehe :laugh:

Do'h, I should add that question asap. It is a tool that allows you to play around with the battlerecorder more efficiently. you can record cameras to go with your demos, render the demo to video .. all from a GUI instead of using the demo.cmd file.

That was the 1.0.1 version that I released nearly two months ago. The new version, 1.1, allows you to capture sound through BattleLauncher, download bookmarks, launch singleplayer games, edit video settings directly from the program... I'm only days away from releasing this new version and I am very excited about it.

I think you should give it a go, even if you use fraps to render the final result.

edit video settings directly from the program? that sounds like a cool feature, instead of having to set up two seperate accounts and log into one or the other depending on what you want to do, excellent looking forward to 1.1

well you still need to login (you can't enter BF2 without logging in it seems), but I'll look into making BL auto-login, I think it is possible.

well theres a .con file in my documents that states the current login account 001,002 etc, maybe you could make the program modify/generate/replace.. whatever that file, but then again the user would have to set up those two accounts and you can't provide two premade offline accounts because the refresh rates you provide in the video.con's mightn't work on everyones pc, unless you just leave them at 60hz, that wouldn't make any difference to rendering quality

well what it does now is to edit the profiles' video settings. I could try creating offline accounts through BL, shouldn't be too hard really.
