For a while ive been avoiding the m24 becuase i thaught it was the most unrealistic gun on the game, and its slow reload make it one of the worst.
But, to advance in the game i needed to get my medal, so i decided to take one into the Strike at Karkland.
Now i dont profess to have mastered the rifle as much as those who have used it from the start, but i do consider coming first using a sniper rifle quite an achievment.
Here's what i found:
1) I preferre to stay low and shoot up. I.e. lying on the ground in dark areas, as usually most snipers are above. Many enemy are going to be looking above. This has its disadvantages too, sooo.....
2) Shoot and move. I know it sounds a little Airbourney, but, after about two kills, your ganna start getting return customers. But unlike being on rooftops, your ganna get plenty of areas to hide.
3) Never leave your gun with one round in. Its suicide. If you miss...you need to be shoot again asap, as by now the enemy is running towards you.
4) This lying low tactic works best in a chaotic battle, where the enemy cant distinguish between sniper fire and small arms fire.
5) Obviousely, always prone and ina darkish area, preferrably near some vegitation, so you ghillie suit just looks like something overgrown, rather that a giant ball of moss on a roof.
6) choose closer targets. Closer targets probably will only need 1 shot to kill or get a damage assist. Usually, they have alrady been shot at and damaged, so getting a kill is more probable. The distance i most preffere is when the enemy fills most of your corssheir.
Well thats about it. But i plan to keep mastering it. However it still remains my best tactic YET! In Mastuur city i managed to rake in 12 kills sat right in the middle of a batlle, before i was killed by arty. TRY IT!
