How do I hook up to my TV??

I saw in the past post people playing on their big screens, looked awesome!.

So I was wondering how can I do this, I think my G-Card has that wierd plug and so does my TV.... HELP

You take cable from your TV-out and plug it into the TV.

Then go to Display properties -> Settings -> Advanced button -> Displays:

There should be 2-4 displays to select from, in the top-left of each section for each display is a ON/OFF button, notice the primary display's button is green or grey. On your TV it should be red if you hooked the cabling correct. Enabling it and your TV-OUT gets activated.

Is it a regular TV or flat screen, if flat screen see if there's a DVI plug and option to use that would probably be best.

yeah, but i think im right is saying that unless its a monitor, you wont get a very good picture, compared to you monitor. If you want it really big, get a projector cos they run at a higher resolution, even old ones. I think tv's only run at 480x560 or something similar, so just navigating windows is hard.

You take cable from your TV-out and plug it into the TV.

to be specific, S-Video out. Not all cards have this. Some newer TV's have DVI inputs and you can go from a cards DVI to the TV's DVI. More conventional method would be the S-Video out. TV's, DVD players, and VCR's have these, but older models will not. Also, if you're running video from your S-Video or DVI, its just that, video only. There is a cable available that goes from 1/8" jack to 2 AV inputs, the one I use was intended for an IPod. You can plug this into your sound-out and run it to the TV for sound through the TV's system... (I use a simliar setup to watch avi files off of my comp on the TV).

ive been hanging my nose over a new samsung/panasonic 42" plasma myself for this very purpose and direct streaming of high def stuff n clips off the net but im waiting for the high def one to drop in price enough for me to afford without annoying the wife too much.

i use my little tv as a second monitor for watching porno's i download and it works great but as for game play you might want to hook it up to a widescreen flat panel or what ever.

You need a video card that has an video out port *such as S-video) etc. Then get some rca cables etc and hook it up.

Projector would be the way to go

I have a bulky one from 2001 (Infocus lite 720i - HUGE) but man, I can get an easy 60 inch image on my wall and boy is it good. The only problem is if your flying you cant pickout people very well.

1. Be sure that what ever the display device you are using has a good resolution or else you'll just be watching blurry graphics. As mentioned by the other guys, plasmas, LCDs, HD rear projection TVs, and high-res projectors are the way to go. Unfortunately, such quality comes with a hefty pricetag.

2. Make sure your video card and the chosen device have identical interfaces or at least adapters to make your connection. The most common connections are S-video and DVI. For some vid cards, you might get an adapter to go from S-video to VHS (?).

3. Finally, do as the other guy mentioned and go to your display settings in Windows and select the output device. For laptops, they have that cool LCD function button which switches from laptop-only to laptop-device to device-only.
