Please Help Im Going Crazy With This

Hi guys need some help.

Recently playing BF2 after a couple of minutes every 3-5 seconds the game textures go black or the whole screen goes black for a few seconds. This continues to happen every 3-5 seconds afterwards for the rest of the game anyone help me????????????????????

Running it at 1600x1200 6x anti -aliasing

have tried different resolutions different Anti-aliasing settings
different severs everything
have aalso reloaded as well

i think it could relate to the patch as it only happened since the new patches came out possible memory leak issue

is anyone else having this problem???

Well ATI cards have a problem. A simple search of ATI's website, or this forum would have shown you that ATI is aware of the problem and the new Cats supposedly due out sometime this week, will fix these issues (along with the blocky shadows). For now, set your textures and geometries to medium to alleiviate most of the problems.

yea bf2 hates ocing - that's almost guarenteed to give you problems

Mine is cool to the tuch. and Im running all on HIGH Ive got a RADEON X800 XL 512MB PCI Express, smooth as Butter! Oh yeah thats on a AMD 64 3500+.

I have an ATI 9800 PRO and had to update the drivers before the game would stop crashing.

ummmmm its the HIS iceq TURBO card, it is factory overclocked and supposed to be that way OVERCLOCKED FROM FACTORY ....besides ive dropped it back and still no difference was running fine in 1920x whatever for a while before the new patch...

I've never had any problem with Ati CARDS that I couldnt figure out with a simple search of the internet. Even with bad hardware most things can be fixed by simply adding or modifying the .ini file and you are good to go. Now Nividia cards are crap in my opinion. I once bought a 300$ one to have it a year later physically fry all the circuts on the card.
