    Editing Offical Maps

Hi all :). I wrote a script that created the BF2Editor compatible GamePlayObjects.con and Layer.con files for all original BF2 maps.

ObjectSpawners, Spawnpoints, ControlPoints and the Combatarea are all editable from the BF2 Editor with these files.

It does not (yet) support the BF2 Editor compatible .con files for:
    - roads
    - splines
    - groundproperties
    - objectlight

If someone has some insight in what these files are used for i can take a look if i can recreate these also.

Keep in mind these files are only for testing, i only tested this on FushePass and Gulf on Oman. There is also a HUGE memory leak in the current editor when loading maps sequentially, close the editor first when loading another map or all of your memory will be consumed by the editor. (i have 2Gigs of ram which was down to 50meg free mem + when i loaded 2 maps).

Loading all these objects consumes a lot of memory, for example, Fushe Pass takes 900 meg! When you have a map loaded, only enable the layer where you want to work on, otherwise the editor will get very slow.

    download the files here:
Deze pagina bestaat niet of is niet meer beschikbaar. Oude XS4ALL-homepages zijn soms nog terug te vinden via webarchieven.

    INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
Unzip to the Levels directory in mods/MODNAME/ keeping directory structure.
Dont forget to unzip client.zip and server.zip otherwise you cannot load the map in the editor.

Do not unzip this into the bf2 mod directory, or you will get problems when joining ranked servers, instead make a copy of the complete bf2 map in the mod directory and unzip it in there.

Have fun with this, i'm not responsible for any psychological or physical damage this addon may cause

Great news for all those that have been wanting to do this.

    Thanks a lot =mad=.
