    using the rivatuner

    ok i got this program and in need some help playing with it. i already overclocked it and my video card started oveheating alot so i put a nice fan on it so now its good. i need some more support on how i should tweak it on the max.

    Google/yahoo "Coolbits". Tons of info for ya :) A lot of sites will go through different options and tweaks available to optimize your OCing.

        Yeah, coolbits is what I use for my 6600GT. Just don't overdo it or you'll ruin the card and nVidia won't RMA it for you(yes, they check returned items and they can tell when a card got fried due to OC'ing).

          how high have you Oc'd your 6600?

            It's a 6600GT, not 6600(just making sure, they're two different cards)
            Also, mine is the 8x AGP not the PCIe.

            I've had it run stable at 515/1.1, but after some recent issues I've scaled it back to 505/1.05.
            Note: Mine was made by XFX. It's pretty good, but in retrospect I should have gone for the MSI version.

                I`ve also a XfX 6600GT and its running stable at 585 / 1.17, with a Zalman AlCu cooler.

                Temp idle: 46C and while playing 57C
