Just bought a new card on newegg - please post opinions.

Hello everyone! First time poster, but I have been trolling for about 2 months. I must say everyone on this site is a great help and there are very diverse characters here. I truly have learned a lot.

Well I just did an impulse buy after realizing how bad my card really was. I had a GeForce Fx 5200 Ultra...everytime dirt blew up in front of me or explosions happened, my FPS dropped to the basement.

    Not Cool.

So I bought this today. Please let me know if you think I will have better performance.

    Current Computer Specs:

    Intel P4 3.06ghz
1.0 GB kingston PC2700 DDR RAM
    Geforce FX 5200 Ultra

    Just bought: 9600XT 256mb

    Model RW96XT-256D
    GPU: Radeon 9600XT
    Core clock: 500MHz

    Memory Clock: 600MHz
    Memory Size: 256MB
    Memory Interface: 128-bit
    Memory Type: DDR
    DirectX: DirectX 9
    OpenGL: OpenGL 1.5
    Interface: AGP 4X/8X
    Ports
    D-SUB: 1
    DVI: 1
    TV-Out: S-Video Out
    RAMDAC:400 MHz
    Max Resolution:2048x1536
    SLI Supported:No

Thanks to anyone who may help. My 1966 Mustang Restomod takes most of my money, but I am tired of having a crappy video card.

Well then with your responses I am promised hope.

I have to run everything on low/off with my 5200fx

IF... I can run on medium everything with this card, I will dance a happy dance. Im not hardcore, I just want to not lag out when action gets hot.

My card spec overclocked 'was' core clock 393mhz, memory clock 215 mhz and it was 40 frames. Hopefully touch wood yours will be good on high!

Wow, I wasnt even aiming for high. I was aiming for medium smooth. (shaken not stirred please!)

Anyways... I searched before buying and I dont know if you guys remember the post
"How will my bf2 run if..."

            But this is the math

            Intel P4 3.0 = high settings
1.0 gb ram = high settings
            9600XT = medium settings

So by the math done later down I should have med-high no probs. Anyone have a 9600xt and would care to comment?

By the way thanks for the great help to all previous posters.
