How do you swan dive when parachuting(sp)?

Ive seen people jump from buildings or planes, then parachute, then swan dive down further....how do you do the swan dive?

You simply need a lot of altitude. Jumping from the second story will not get you a swan dive, but you might be able to deploy your chute. You need about 5 stories minimum to enter a swan dive.

When your character dives head-first instead of feet-first.

not if you've already hit the ground

Do you mean that the parachute closes and then re-opens? This happens when you glance a stationary object like a tree, or building. Then you have to quickly re-deploy your chute.

If you mean while they are in the chute, they gain speed and forward momentum, and appear to be laying out in the parachute position, this is when you hold the forward key to accelerate your traverse, conversly if you hold the back button it acts as a brake and you fall more feet first.

And can you steer while in a parachute, yes, it isn't an instant thing though you need to hold the A or D keys before your character begins to steer. Can you steer while free falling, yes, given enough altitude you can power dive and steer to some extent, but I would not recommend attempting this from a building :)

If you have ever seen skydiving, you'll know what the OP is talking about. It's a very stylized skydiving position.

I have seen this. You just have to be high enough.

I think it's just an animation you automaticlly do when you fall a long distances. Or try holding the sprint key.

                          1. No, you cannot steer once you have entered a swan dive.

                          2. If you want to steer at all, you can either change your orientation immediately after you jump or after you have deployed your chute. Turning right after your dive will work accurately, but then you'll enter your dive. Turning with your chute opens takes longer to do.

Jump off the hotel in Gulf of Oman and land in the pool, no parachute at all, (you wont die by landing in water).

That will make you do a swan dive
