If you mean the playerNameTags , you can change the value for the range they are visibel.
With the command NameTags.MaxFriendlyDistance 0 , in the GameLogicInit.con the nametags are not visible at all, only when you directly point at the player. -
well i was wondering if it was possible to disable the player names but maintain the team color icon that is above it.

i thought it might be possible if you found the part that applies to it in 'font_client.zip" and changed it a bit. anyone know anything about this?Comment

the game has an mode called 3D-Map, its on by default , when you switch it off and you have NameTags.MaxFriendlyDistance 0 in your gamelogicinit.com then you should not see a name or icon.Comment

Well. When you remove the nametags they still show up when you put your crosshair on them.Comment
