I'm lookin to upgrade my RAM so i can run this game smoother, and i was wondering if i have 4 slots for RAM, and 2 of them are taken up by 2 256MB's, that i can get a 512 installed. Or do i have to get 2 more 256's. I'm not too sure what to do. Also, i was wondering how i could find out if i have PC 2700 or whatever. Does it do any harm to mix PC 3200 and 2700. I bough my computer last year so im not sure if it is 3200 or 2700.

Well you can get all the Info on your PC(including the RAM speeds) By D/L a program called Everest(google it).Yes you "can" mix RAM but 2 things come into play 1: the Timings of the RAM eg CAS or CL 3,2,2.5 and 2: the RAM will only run at the speed of the slowest stick.
More info on your PC would be helpful because there are other factors such as CPU,chipsets,Max memory speeds supported,Dual Channel etc -
Ok i downloaded that, and it said i had one slot for 512MB of RAM, and it said dual channel is active, but when i installed the video card i saw that there was 2 memory sticks installed. I cant find anything about PC 2700 or 3200. It says Dual DDR SDRAM.Comment

If you look under the Memory SPD that will tell you what kind it is 200=3200 166=2700 etc. Yes its shows up as 1 slot of 512 cuz its running in Dual Channel so if you want to maintain your Dual Channel you will either A: find another matching 2x256 or B: buy a matched pair of 2x 512. Dual Channel doubles the Bandwidth the memory can use. the Memory SPD will also show you the Timings at those speeds as well which is important to match when your choosing more RAMComment
