don't own a joystick, so KB and Mouse (both microsoft, and mouse is optical) for both planes and helos. Can fly the heck outta helos with kb/mouse, but jets are tricky, would like to switch to joystick eventually for them.... ...big help with kb/mouse on helos was jacking up the mouse sensitivity..
What device do you fly with?

why hasnt anyone mentined a gamepad, like the one for ps2. Duel analog Gamepad is best for helis and planes. Its perfect for heli because of the two analog sticks. I have used all 3 devices and maybe a joystick is a little better for planes but its impossible to use on heli.Comment

lol, nice fantastic damage.
Heli/ jet mouse and keyboard, i know for sure mouse/keyb is better for heli, as for jets ive seen/known many good jetfighters using joystick...Comment

I had a really old Sidewinder 3D Pro until a few months ago, it broke and I had to buy a new one. It was a good joystick though.Originally posted by Cotizijoystick ( sidewinder old school) = planesComment

I use the keyboard & mouse for both. Although it is harder to make nice sharp turns with the k/b and mouse while flying the jet, but with the mx518 mouse I just adjust the sensitivity to the highest level (1600 dpi) for the jet, and everything else i use medium sensitivity (800 dpi).Comment

Joystick for both. And I've mapped view changes and weapon modes/switch to the HAT, which means I don't have to touch the keyboard while flying. It's quite funky.Comment
