a standard key board works very good and good to have a joy stick handy as well

I have a Zboard, Nostromo N52, and N50. I prefer the Zboard for BF2. It is simple to use, responds as well as any keyboard that I have used. The keys are laid out well for gaming. It is not laid out as well for general typing use, but is adequate once you are used to it. I have found the driver support, and profiles to be problem free.

bought the zboard fro my son's birthday
he was already hooked on his normal keybard, so he gave it back to me :)
it actaully helped my gameplay quite a bit
(well - you know us older dads - we need all the help we can get)
        I remapped ALL the keys
        (except wasd)
had to go into "controls.con" to do that
worth $50 - hmmm - only if you have it to spare
and for all of you who complain about switching out keyboards -
I have the ZBoard and my regular keyboard plugged in all the time (both USB)

I had one for a while - I got rid of it. There are three major problems with it. You have to un-hook it when you are not playing, you can't type in game, and the keys are allready set for you! Don't like the position of the VOIP key? too bad. Don't like using the massive wasd keys to control your movement? too bad. Your finger doesn't naturally reach for the crouch key, and you'd like it somewhere else? too bad. Thanks, but i like to set up my own keys the way I want them, not how someone else thought they'd be cool...

This thing owns! Everything you need is at a press of a button. You don't have to fumble back and forth with your keyboard and possibly hit the wrong button in a firefight. The mold fits right into your left hand.

a normal keyboard works perfectly fine, theres no demand for anything else.. you cant type normally with a zboard so you have to disconnect it every time you arent playing BF2.. and put the little shell somewhere. it creates clutter on your desk.. its tedious to use.. and it doesnt accomplish anything. horrible invention.
well after like 5 times doing it, you get to change the keysets really quick.. typing is not a problem after a while and well, if it clutters up ur desk, get a bigger dest...

i think the zboard is great... the keys are layed out just fine for me, i used to use normal keyset, but i just use BF2 Keyset as i find it much easier and it looks good... but i spose everyone has their opionion

I use it and love it. I am positive it has helped my scores in this game and others.

And for everyone complaining about plugging and un-plugging keyboards...Just keep both keyboards connected! I do it and this works out just fine...
