OMG! How silly have we been all the time!

I never saw this on the forum, so ill post it here, i was lying down on a roof in mashtuur shooting down with my RPD, i was moving right then suddently i see a claymore in front of me. It didn't detonate...but i got shocked and stood up BOOM dead. Tested it again so....

Fact: Claymores wont detanote if proning, now im gonna try to see whether or not i can defuse them as engineer.

    Close but not quite.

I quite enjoy hanging out around very obviously placed claymores and watching the enemy try all sorts of ways around them... proning doesnt help if you're coming at it from ahead.

BUT it helps if you're coming at it from behind.

Let me know if you're able to remove them as an engy, please!

Yes you can definatly remove the claymores as engineers, i love to sneak up on snipers that camp airfeilds and stab them up (sometimes if im feeling brave/stupid i will use the radio command "MOVE IT!" just before i stab him, it depends how much he has annoyed me, as he can hear that as well when you are close and it amuses me to think of him feeling humiliated during his 15 seconds of spawn delay ) *note: everytime his corpse shouts "medic" you MUST crouch over him and stab him directly in the face while spamming "negative" on your radio for maximum satisfaction*

I spent ages trying to sneak around claymores (if i spot them even) which works but they have one hell of a range, so i tryed wrenching them one night, and sure enough it disapeared just like a mine :) and going prone dosent work from the front, but is essential when approaching from the rear as you seem to set them off even from the back when you get close enough to diarm them (maybe you lean over it as you look down?)

In case your interested you CANT disarm C4, crazy fool that i am i tried that as well, the spec-ops guy didnt even realise even though i spend 20 seconds trying different positions, because it was on a ramp up into Mushtuur city and he was waiting for armour

I guess it wouldnt be a popular manoeuver even if it was possible, but i can never resist the urge to try crazy stuff like that

Good Stuff Teaves! Definitely going to try the 'stabby-stabby-NEGATIVE' approach to dead enemies. Sounds like fun.

the claymore is curved and the curve it pointing out towards the front also the letters printed on them, "face towards enemy" (from my many hours playing vietcong)... But good Idea none the less, i'll try it and see if I can get passed it

placing c4 on landmines also works well and perhaps claymore too, mabey with a run, jump, throw approach will give the c4 enough distance to get in rangeof the claymore without you being killed

I'm pretty sure that only your teamates can here the radio commands.

edit: ohhhhhhhhhh ok I am wrong. My bad.

In BF42 radio commands were only for teammates to hear, but shouting was hearable for everyone.

And i keep hearing "Need a medic" screamed from americans when im MEC / China in the middle of a firefight.

Nice to know you can disarm claymores. And you can hear radio commands from the enemy, at least some of them. I hear them call for medic all the time.

when you use the command, you actually say it. anybody close enough can hear it.

i wish there was an alien mod.

You could sneak up behind an enemy proning, and then a radio command: Probing!!!! then the enemy would just get a white screen and 30-45 seconds later they would reappear somewhere else on the map (in bounds) with only a pistol and knife.
