If you are talking about the unlocks in game, you can see them through BFHQ. Just cycle through the different kit classes, the unlock for that class will appear on the right, with some basic info about it.
If you are talking about real-life info on the weapons, I have found real photos and history on the weapon through standard google searches and/or Wikipedia. For example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancor_Jackhammer is the engineer's shotgun unlock.
There is actually heaps of info in Wikipedia on the vehicles and weapons used in the game. More Examples:

ah cool, i didn't know about the BFHQ thing, as when i played bf2 for like 2 days i used my friends account (because my comptuer can't handle bf2 and im getting a new one soon this week)
