Practice with the medic kit. They both have the same weapons (unlocks excluded), but the medic has less armour and you are more vulernable when reviving.
Where is the logic in that? Here:
1. You will learn how to use the rifle better since it's the medic's only weapon, so no grenade launcher. The rifle is much harder to use, so when you get to use the grenade launcher+rifle with assault, you will be much better with the rifle when needed.
2. The medic has less body armour. This makes you more careful, so when you play assault, you will live even longer.
3. Being a medic makes you more aware of your environment. When you are assault, all you can about is getting frags. With medic, you look out for enemies and friendlies all of the time to see if people need healing/reviving. This means you will tk less people with your grenade launcher because you will be more aware.
4. You will know as assault to pickup a medic's kit and revive him, so you save a team ticket and get +2. But you don't need to have medic experience to know this, just common sense!
