I use it al the time, when you have to get out your vihicle to take a flag, but there is offcourse a chance that an enemy takes it.

Just get out, put 2 c4 on it, go to the flag, when you see an enemy entering or going near your vihicle just blow it up, very simple and very effective

I use that tactic quite a bit. When I'm playing spec ops and jump in a tank or APC I always throw 2 C4's on it before getting in. If I ever need to jump out....I'll get a kill if an enemy jumps in.

I've gone to put C4 on enemy tanks several times. Guy jumps out, I jump in and kill him. Love doing that!

I might hit a base in a tank, and then jump out. Some enemy soldiers will hop in, thinking they can take me out with my own tank. Buh ha ha ha... Kaboom as soon as they get near or in.

Its kinda sad I kill sooooo many people with C4 almost more than with my gun its like more effictive in Bf2 than any other game I wish you can get higher rank explosive ordance bages and the higer you go the bigger your C4 blows up or you get more than 5 that would be cool

even better...as most people now join squads, just wait till he nicks the vehicle and his squad joins him...then blow it up

My other tactic is sticking it to the suide of buildings, and when the enemy comes around the corner... kaboom. Best if you can place it on another opposite building and they get two blasts in their face.

If I might add, another great use for the C4 is to infiltrate the enemy's base. Plant two C4's on the ever important UAV Trailer and blow it. Then immediately plant another C4 in the wreckage and run and hide out of sight...but make sure you can still see the trailer. Hopefully an Engineer seeking a repair point will come to do his handy work...giving you a perfect opportunity to do your handy work and score a kill, further hindering the enemy's Commander. Worse case scenario, the Commander drops a supply crate on it, in which case you blow it again. You might not get a kill, but in the big scheme of things...you're still helping the whole team.

i do this on kubra dam, at the right MEC spawn (scaffolding). id be driving up in a tank or apc, get out and put 2 c4 on it, get into the building and wait for the sound of someone jumping in it and detonate.

I love to plant C4 on helos and blow them up when they take of. Same thing also works great on jets.
It's also great fun to lay out 3-4 packs along the center line of the runway and blast the jets as the roll across them when taking off.

I always thought you had to place all five (because it then auto-switches to the detonator).

What would I press to switch to the detonator after placing just a couple or so?

You can place one if you want then switch to detonator by right clicking.

place a C4 then just right-click your mouse to go to detonator mode, right click again to place more C4s
