I die to much, what do i have to do?

Hi, I am having alot of trouble in this game.

I like support alot, but how do I take out vehicles?

It seems like everyone just gets into vehicles, and Its usless to play support.

Is there a website where I can get tips for flying vehicles?

P.S. Is there an icon that displays whether a server is ranked or not?

LGM isn't good for taking out tanks/LAV. I'd suggest unlocking the PKM. That gun can take out smaller vehicles like buggies, jeeps if they are smoking.

When you're in a vehicle, you're give off the 'ammo aura.' You will resupply people close to the vehicle automatically. If you're in a tank/LAV, you can get out and hold out the ammo pack/drop it to resupply them.

Ranked servers have two chevrons beside them. Use the filter in the server browser.

Support is anti-infantry, not anti-tank. Use your class to suppress enemy positions and drop ammo packs for fellow teammates. I don't think there's anything wrong with the built-in LMG's. Just go prone in a known hotspot and open fire.
Assault is probably better for kills though.
Use Anti-Tank or TOW rockets to take out vehicles.

Id recommend going and buying the prima bf2 guide. Im a big noob and learned alot from that book. It teachs you the basics and makes the game much more fun. And you have to be support on the right maps. If its a maps with alot of vehicles, they will be whored by noobs. So be a anti-tanker. Also, you shouldnt even attempt to take on a tank, if you see a tank, HIDE! Best thing to do is hook up with a anti-tank teammate, resupply him and give him combat support. The Support guns are bad lone wolf guns. Join a squad and work as a team. Be a spec ops if your a lone wolf. My 2 cents..

P.S. BF2 is a teamwork game, it is ALOT more fun to work as a team. If you are on a server that is a bunch of noobs that dont join squads, leave. There are a ton of servers to choose from.

Zap got it dead on, support class is for fire suppression primary, and reload/rearm secondary. I play support quite a bit on the city maps, its quite effective in holding an enemy position while your team advances or pinning down and enemy advancement. Know the difference between cover and concealment, pick your firing solutions wisely, move often. Best advice I can give you.

Another thing to add is to pick your spots. Tracers can give away your position.

I don't know what kind of player you are (offensive or defensive), but rushing with the PKM is fun. It's always fun to see how people react when I rush in with the PKM. I always appreciate people bunny hopping since they won't hit me. When they reload, I'm still spraying and praying killing them and +3 other people.

If you are support (or any other unappropriate class) and an armoured vehicle turns up you are under no obligation to attack it... Hide, spot it for your team (maybe some pilot or AT guy will notice), watch it (maybe the driver will get out if he feels safe) and most importantly don;t engage for the sake of it. If the situation looks suicidal then walk (or crawl) away, save the ticket and fight somewhere else.

As support you do have a chance against anything but tanks, you effectively have unlimited grenades. Find a secure spot and grenade that APC or HUMVEE....

You can greatly improve your kill/death ratio by staying incover, ambushing the enmey and recognising a suicidal situation for what it is...

You benefit your team most by A. not dying and B. killing the enemy and finially C. taking/defending flags (in that order)...

Just try camping more and staying hidden. When moving, stay close to buildings and cover. I ranked up many deaths along with my kills by trying to play too much like Quake or something.

Keep your head on a swivel when moving from position to position. When you do camp, don't do it too long. Play an engineer and learn the fine art of mining.

Sometimes I find it more satifying to get less kills, but also to get less deaths as well. Especially if I'm trying to run around and get kills with a normal weapon.

                    Try different styles!
