Make sure you have 2GB free hard disk space as I was getting the same error when trying to install the patch. I freed up some space and it worked no probs

herd reports that this game does not like windows service pack 2?

and its having a hard time running under windows?

i have a sata 160gb hard drive so theres plenty off room on my hd, think its
somthing more than this, surely cant be my system am uptodate on all drivers
and windows updates, -the game patch just wont install?

somthing is clearly wrong here with the game code?
maybe the game just does not like my setup?

for a final test i ran the game on minimum video settings, after 10 min crashed back to desktop,......

It happens some times to me too. But noo longer. Try to defrag the hard drive. A guy on this forum said it to me and the game runs smoother nowe thx to the defrag.

it happend to me a few time with my ati radeon 9800 pro, and my crazy ram setup...then i switched to the x700 pro and and put the same type of ram in each slot, and now it never crashes....i think it was because i was mixing my ram....i had 1 512mb stick of kingston hyper x, then 1 stick of kingston 512mb value ram, and the 512 stick that came with the comp....i think that might of had something to do with mine....plus my drivers were really thrown off, but i got it all fixed now. good luck though man.

            Blue windows fatal error screen

In the middle of intensive battle, speaker bip's fast a couple of times, screen goes blue for a microsecond (just able to see it's a windows fatal error), then blackout and reboot !
Get's the "System rebooted after a fatal error" windows error message when up'n'runnin again !
            :hmm: :|:

            Think it's graphics related !
