    Joysticks

Ok, this might be covered, and yes i did do a search, however, answers are all over and not really clear.
Hence i thought i would create a POLL and MODS might want to STICKY this thread (or not) to avoid any more joystick threads!

    My question is as follows:
-Which one's better, the Logitech (eg. Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) or the Saitek Evo Series? Ive read reviews on the web that the Logitech Extreme break down (become unfunctional) easily - is this true?
-Also, does BF2 support Force Feedback?

Feel free to carry out any joystick discussion on this thread.

    Cheers.

Id say the only way to pick between them is to try them both...go to circuit city or best buy - they should have them both on display near the other computer stuff for you to move around and get a feel for.

I orignally owned the Logitec pro It was nice but I had issues with the throttle playing up. I wouldent recommend going for force feedback because when you are doing some tricky flying you wont want feedback, that slams you into that brick wall. I just received my Saitek X52. Its really good just need to get used to it now

Ofcourse then there are those highend joysticks like the Thrustmaster H.O.T.A.S Cougar or the Saitek X52 .... more like the flight sim joysticks.
For BF2, it wouldnt be necessary to buy these expensice joysticks unless u are a huge flight simulator fan, or ofcourse got $$$ to spend :)

I am more interested in the intermediate/affordable joysticks :) ... just my opinion i guess

lol, personally, i was using just keyboard to fly: WSAD keys and the arrow keys ... and i would say, performance wise, i was like 6.5/10 (i hate using the mouse when flying)

First time i tried a joystick (Logitech extreme 3d pro), at a mates place ... damn .. i tell ya ... i was owning! it was so much easier ... took a few tries to get used to, but performace increased to 8.5-9/10

Maybe its just me, but, i definetly want to buy a joystick. However, after some research, found out that there are heaps on the market .. hence looking for some advice.

              Cheers

I have the X-52 and love it. I used it for the flight sim call Lock On Modern Aircombat. I set up the controller so i can view from side to side while piloting. Works great!

I've got the Saitek x45 and it's a bit much for BF2 I'll admit.. the Cyborg Evo is prolly the best choice for BF2.

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro here, loving it, the smooth rudder in the handle is great for strafing.
