What's with the hours played to get some of the awards?
To get one of the medals, you would have to play this game (assuming 8 hours of sleep a night) for 334 days, doing NOTHING but playing during the hours you were awake. [250 DAYS played, not hours]
To get all of the expert badges, you would have to play just under THREE YEARS of doing nothing but playing during the hours you were awake. [708 DAYS played, not hours]
Is EA friggan' nuts? Most of the hardcore gamers that were featured on CNN and places for being addicted to Everquest and going whacko did not invest that much time, and that game was ALL about time investment.
Now, I realize all the awards are are just a little graphic that says you accomplished something; but, I'm one of those people who like to say they "completed" a game instead of just "beat" or "played" it. Unfortunately, it looks like this is going to be a game where I'm going to have to stick with played, unless I'm misinterpreting "Global Hours" listed under the badge requirements.
Honestly though, the hour requirements are absolutely ridiculous. Just to get one expert kit badge takes over 40 days, in hours of play time. What is EA thinking? This game won't even be around when someone finally has enough hours built up to get some of these awards.
