I belive i am not the first one to notice this problem with being Engineer. Yesterday i tried Engineer class for the first time in game, i have always disrespected that class mainly because of the shotgun. I was wrong, engineer is definetly one of the better classes around in the game mainly cuz of the mines etc.
Anyway, i started playing around laying mines, everything worked great. Tank by tank started go down, was nice to cut of streets in maps like Karkand. Then i finally got to the part that i hate, teammates started "accidently" going over the mines constantly and i got punished over and over again and i was kicked from several servers. This is wrong....very wrong, things like mines which u cant affect after u have put them on the ground u shouldn't get punished for. C4 with the SpecOps is a different matter, there u have a remote control and can affect when to explode or not, mines shouldn't have this feature it should be up to the players them self to avoid the mines (still having that red icon of course) and the one who layed the mines should not be punished if a dumb team player runs over it.
Even worse is the team players that actually drives over the mines just for fun so they can decrease your points...they are the ones who should get punished.
I guess many other ppl feel the same about it and i hope that DICE or someone can change this (don't get punished for things u cant affect thingie) thing in an up-coming patch or something
