What's up w/the wacky voting rules?

How exactly does the voting logic work in BF2?

I have never, ever seen a successful kick vote and doubt one is even possible because, as far as I can tell:

    1) Everyone who selected "opt out of voting" is still counted as far as percentage needed to succeed, and I think even automatically count as a "no" vote?

    2) The percentage required is so high that people on the *other* team have to vote yes for something like a kick on your team it actually succeed?

Also, I have recently started initiating lots of kicks. I do this whenever some jackass punishes me for an accidental TK. I know it will never succeed but that's not the point. Anyway, after my kick vote fails, 7 times out of 10 I see a message that another player has initiated a kick vote for the same guy. What's up w/that? Is it a bug or just some weird player pyschology?

It happens. Tons of people will initiate vote kicks on the same player over and over again..none of them succede, but they still do it. Then the person getting vote kicked complains LOL. :p

sometimes i guess its possible others are doing it because they agree but usually its a bug. i've joined servers and spawned just in time to see the server say that apparently i've intiated a votekick, mutiny or map change.

We had the voting enabled on our server for the last 10 days or so and I never saw a successful vote kick. In fact we actually saw some type of glitch that had one person being voted to be kicked over and over...wierd...as once I watched a person still loading making the vote kick.

We've got several admins on and keep an eye out for smacktards so we just decided to disable voting period. Less screen spamming and such. Seems to be working well so far.

Yeah, that would be me as of last week. When some noob punishes me for a bs tk, then I keep initiating kick votes... just because that's all I can do. Hopefully, he notices and maybe asks why. Then I can tell him it's b/c team players don't punish their own team for accidental tk's.

Unfortunately, no one I've tried to kick has yet to say anything. oh well.

What the parameters for voting that you can control as a server admin? eg. can you turn off the map change thing but leave on the ability for a team to kick one of it's players? And can you control how many people need to vote yes for it to succeed?

we played on there a few days ago. Can't remember if i saw one on your server or not.

Anyway, i hate the voting. And i opted out. Then when someone actually does deserver to be kicked (and there's no admins on, i ususally avoid those servers) they complain that only 3 people voted.

Then everybody tells them, we have votes turned off. Too many that aren't needed.

Then they get pissed and leave, because they couldn't kick a better player. HAHA.

Sorry about not having an Admin on. Any problems with any certain player just let me or any Admin know. We will deal with it as soon as we can. Grab the name, email me, next time he'll be watched like a hawk!

We're working on possibly upgrading the number of slots and we're going to be making map changes the next 3 days (more urban). We're also looking at adding a couple of more Admins (possibly) to add the amount of time Admins would be on the server. We can't have it covered 24/7 but we want it close.

Any concerns with our server or anyone on it please email me directly. It will be dealt with. We do not tolerate stat padders (medic-revive stuff), TK'ers, smacktards or any racist remarks. Anything like this will be dealt with. Wanna have a good time with good clean fun...join us.

Again, we stopped the voting because of the bug and the fact it was being abused and also with no vote kicks actually being successful.

Email: fiveo@codebluebf.com Any concerns or suggestions!
