Left Shift

Any ideas why I am prevented from assigning Left Shift with the message that the assignment is already made in HELICOPTER? I have looked but I cannot find this key mentioned under the Helo settings!! What amI missing?

Why on earth don't all games come with editable config files! So much better than the idiosyncratic user interfaces we are thrown!

Give me a nice INI file any day!

You can edit something like a INI file for the controls. Its called the Controls.con file. Its in your documents under Battlefield 2/profiles/"profilenumber"

Thanks! I am delving as I write into the arcane doublespeak of the controls.con file! Thanks for the info! I (like a simple minded fool) was looking for something similar inside the games's folder structure!
