I will no longer sell RANKED servers..

At the end of this billing cycle, I will be informing my BF2 customers that
I will no longer offer BF2 as a game choice..

I am tired of getting hammered with emails and complaints about the
ranked server rules.. most notably the minimum player to start a game
    setting..

I have 11 ranked servers, 1 of which I run myself, and know just as much
as the next guy that its nearly impossible to maintain a decent flow of
players, nor build up any type of reputation as a good server, and most
importantly be able to feel confident that my paying customers feel like
they are getting their monies worth.. when their servers remain empty
24/7.. well, not empty, really.. just empty enough to where the game
    NEVER starts..

and what does EA recommend to me to tell my customers? Well, they
will say, yea, you should be selling to clans who have lots of members
that can jump in a game and get one started.. HUH ?????????????????

BF2 RANKED servers are a joke, and I will be cancelling my ranked servers
at the end of this billing cycle.

As far as unranked servers go.. well.. look at your browser.. 9 out 10 are
    empty all the time..

before BF2 came out, i was kind of against ranked servers. Didn't matter to me.

Then i got the game, I played on a few unranked servers, and what a bunch of tards they were.

Went to a ranked game, and it was bliss.

Then ASE got working right, and i looked at unranked serves. Out of 85000 slots, 1400 were full.

Then ranked, out of 90000 or so (there's many more now) 30000 or so were full.
I thought, well damn, people aren't gonna spend much time on unranked. so i don't bother with them anymore. Unless it's our clan server for matches.

Thankfully, the prices have lowered considerably from what EA said they would be.

yes, but even at a dollar a slot, if nobody is able to play on it, customers
      will cancel it.

Im not against the ranking system itself, Im just against punishing the
super majority to thwart a few stat exploitors.. just because EA isnt
capable to figure out how to stop it otherwise..

        Project ABR Client Beta

ABR is currently in BETA development.
we have 7 servers running ABR.

Install the attached program, start ABR thru the DESKTOP Shortcut.

        Choose a Ranking World ( currently 1 available. )

Choose a Server, and press Join.

        *Known Issues

Some AntiSpyware programs ten to Intercept a 'Malicious Host file Change'
Dont be alarmed. ABR.exe needs to change some info in your HOSTS file to function correct.
future versions may not have this problem.

Abr is only enabled on servers found thru our ABR World Switcher.
Server admins who wants to participate in ABR should contact us thru the Forum.

        Have fun playing!

are they more than one companies now then..that they can lease ranked servers...? Thought it was only one in UK...?

Also, to the people that have played Americas Army...was obvious what was coming..with the ranked servers...another way of EA charging money indirectly for playing the game...
