i get banned for idiots running over my mines

i hope they sort this crap out with people getting kicked\banned for tk's from other players running over their own teams mines.
i was just playing on a german server called stammtisch when i got banned for excessive team killing ..not bad when i had the most points at the time and was in a tank fragging the enemy....it was the gulf of oman ,the spawn point when if your not usa when you start its by the hotel\tower block on the left...now there are no vehicles that spawn in there so i mined the approach ramp as thats where the enemy vehicles like to go up to capture the flag...so some idiots go up there and boom they die and i get tk'ed...must've been stevie wonder driving ..cos he obviously didn't see ****..


i know this has been ranted on and on and on about by other people but i just gotta vent

i don't understand why peeps are complaining about getting banned ! :S
i dunno if it only works for me .. but when i get banned i just delete all the server files in the BF2 documents and i can play the same servers again ! no problemos at all !

I have an idea. Why dont you not lay mines where your teamates would run over them!

I understand what your saying, i was playing on my clans server, the enemy came into base with an apc, i stuck a mine behind it and the enemy got out and 3 team mates jumped in, i lay down behind the tank hoping they will not move and the three of them died including myself and i was punished.

, but not realising to them , punishing an accidental team kill could result in a ban. so i hope people like that will learn.

but where i laid them you shouldn't need to run over them..i wasn't blocking any vehicles from leaving the spawn point as none ever appear there

It doesnt work like that.
If your banned from my server your Global ID is added to a ban list, until its removed all pc's on your network wont be able to connect to the server.

Edited to add if im wrong and you can get around the ban that way, how do i keep cheats of my server ?

It's pretty simple.

1) Make sure your 3d map is on
2) Pay attention when your driving
3) Don't be a jerk and punish others for your mistakes.

Engineer rule number ONE....never, i repeat never leave mines unattended.
No excuse for loose AT'S, pic them up if you no longer need it.

Think ambush,not drop run n pray.

I dont play engy but i think EA should inpliment something like 15 seconds after the mine is layed you cant be punished for a teammate driving over it

i had something similar happen, i put mines down near the waters edge (USA side) where the MEC apc's like to come up out of thw water and one of our guys drives down there in a tank and runs over my mines right near the water, so he dies and TK punishes me ... pffft

Thats a good place to mine as people dont see it, and i dont know what the dumb **** was doing driving up there in the first place, i have had many from that location. I think people feel so dumb for driving over them they have to punish you to make it look like your fault but in the end they are just dumbasses. But yeah it sucks.
