Commander-squad Leader-squad Members?

I dont know this for sure but is this how the Mic system works? commander can only talk to squad leaders using headset and squad Leaders can only talk to their squad members using headset? please correct me if I am wrong. If this is true why do people choose not to get in a squad it would be much more organized than Lone Wolfing it.....

hmm from what i remember if your a squad leader its b to just talk to squad and v to commander. And commander im not sure bout this but i think they can talk to everyone and just squads or squad leaders.

only squad leaders can talk to the commander but the command can use v to talk to all squad leaders at once, if i remember correctly
